Tulle skirt

I’ve joined team tulle skirt and I’m so glad I ordered a size up for this one because it barely fits. Tried it today with a navy knit off shoulder top and lilac bag and shoes. I would like to figure out ways to wear it this summer, so will play with that a bit. Very happy with how the longer side of the hem covers my leg with lymphedema, so that’s an added bonus. I think Janet and Suz have this skirt?

It is a fantastic skirt as I can see with how many different ways it can be styled beautifully - including this one.

    It’s a great skirt isn’t it?!

Cool! The lilac accessories are very pretty :)

  • Aquamarine replied 1 year ago

    You wear it well!

Fab and fun!  I bet it would look sharpe with your black booties and a black top.  Do you have a jean jacket or black bomber style?  You could wear a white T, tank top, or statement t under a dark topper.

It looks great styled that way!

I confess I got one, too, after Suz posted more pics of hers. I was not quite sure how to arrange the waist, whether to go by the zipper and button placement or slide around for a certain placement of the uneven hem.

    Yes!!! Yes!!! Yes!!

    We are triplets now!!

I love this skirt. I haven't worn it now for a few weeks and wonder if I will get opportunities in the summer, but it's so much fun and so easy to style in a variety of ways!

Looks great! You all wear it well.

This looks like a perfect fit for your style, Lana! I love seeing how each wearer makes this very distinctive skirt uniquely her own.

  • Star replied 1 year ago

So cool and perfect for your style moniker.

Looks really pretty on you Lana! Nice sandals, that would be too high for me.

Such a great skirt, on you and on the others

Love this skirt, and love the lavender compliments

  • Janet replied 1 year ago

Fab! The pink is great with it, as is the off-shoulder top. You look great.

Yeah, that waist has no give, at least not on mine. And I have made no real progress in working on getting rid of the extra fluff around my middle, (plus I was traveling and wearing hiking gear for six weeks) so I haven’t worn my skirt lately. And soon it will be too hot! Oh well, I have it for the long haul.

Thank you Anne, Star, Carol, Brooklyn, Unfrumped, aquamarine, Nikki, Rachylou, and Jaime!

Jenni, I’m not sure about these shoes either!  They are gorgeous, supportive and stable but higher than I’m used to. I wore them 15 minutes in the house and them wanted to take them off or sit down.

Still thinking about whether to keep them.

Carla, those are great ideas! I do have a Jean jacket and a black moto.

Janet and Suz, thank you, I love how you both wore this skirt, so I had to get it. I feel kind of like a punk princess in it. I’ve got a big cross country trip planned starting in August for 3 months, hiking and visiting friends along the way.  I’d love to hear what you packed and how it worked for you. I’m just not sure how much to bring.

  • Janet replied 1 year ago

Ooh, Lana, that trip sounds amazing! I’d love to hear more about it. Reminds me of my Teardrop Trailer Tour that I did over a decade ago (has it been that long??). I bought a tiny teardrop trailer, basically a tent on wheels, and camped with it solo all the way across the country to CA and OR and back, for over two months. Truly one of the best times of my life! I won’t derail your thread further, but let me know if you want to share travel notes and strategies. Of course a packing thread would be more on-topic here, and I’m happy to share. Just be warned that I always pack too much, but I don’t like doing laundry on the road. :-D

  • Lana replied 1 year ago

Janet, sounds great, I’ll post when I have some time about the trip and ideas for packing. Then we can can go into detail on our trips LOL.

Lana, your post inspired me down a rabbit hole of tulle skirt searching!!  I've wanted one for years. The tartan one is above my budget, but I'm looking at others.

    You look amazing!

This looks great on you, such a beautiful skirt. I love Carla's ideas too.

    Your trip sounds fab!

Wish I could join you all with a tulle skirt of my own, but I already don’t have places to wear my fancy stuff.

Unfrumped, how are you wearing yours?

  • merwoman replied 1 year ago

    Gorgeous! Such a fun look!

  • Firecracker (Sharan) replied 1 year ago

    It looks terrific on you!

  • JP replied 1 year ago

This is a great look on you. I wasn't thinking about buying another tule skirt but now seeing this post and Sue's recent post with the same skirt I want that skirt. It's a really cool skirt.

  • Dana replied 1 year ago

Wow, your outfit is perfection! I'm lusting after the top, since tops to go with skirts are so hard to find! And the pinky/mauve...so creative!
