Z and V turquoise blouse

Excuse the glare, I took this at a bad time of the day.  This is the Zadig and Voltaire blouse that a few of us bought from the sale.  It feels wonderful, soft and light.  The deep V is nice for showing a cami underneath.  I’m a little on the fence because I normally am happier with solids but this pattern is so unusual and despite the volume in the torso it doesn’t look overly big to me. Love the design and bits of white in the pattern — it reminds me a little of the artist Peter Max.

As is my usual routine, I buy something and think about it for a while so I don’t make mistakes, try it on around the house with other clothes and build some outfits to try in Stylebook. Sometimes they work IRL and sometimes they don’t. I wore outfit #1 with white jeans and teal sandals to meet my mom for lunch Sunday, and today I’m wearing #8 with jeans. I could see it going with a lot of things in my closet for all seasons. Any other ideas?

1. With white jeans for summer
2.  Casual with light wash jeans
3.  With navy linen trousers
4. With jacket and boots for winter
5. Spring or Fall with a scarf
6. With teal jeans Spring or Fall
7.  With teal skirt
8. With jeans for summer

It's a lovely blouse - fabric in particular.  I like the ways you have styled it - with patterns I think it is very emotional whether they resonate or not so I would go with that feeling.

I love it on you and your stylings are great! I would love to wear it now but it’s too hot. I just can’t tolerate jeans at the moment. Maybe soon!

Gorgeous on you! All I can say is that if you can come up with 8 knockout combos that blouse deserves a home in your closet.

Love it on you! But none of your stylings show your fab matching sandals.

Gorgeous color, and super flattering cut on you! With that many outfit possibilities, I do hope you'll keep it. I love your matching sandals in #1.

Thanks everyone! I always second guess myself when it comes to patterns, but it does go with so much.

    Wow! Fantastic on you!

It looks like it was made for you and your current wardrobe. I hear you on the love of solids, but this is an exceptional print and I like how the white in the print makes it look gorgeous with your white jeans.

It's gorgeous on you! I love all your possible outfit combinations. You may recall me going on about the brilliance of white in a pattern when one has silver or white hair. Here is Exhibit A Double Plus in your photo! Just perfect on you.

    Very pretty!

  • Lana replied 1 year ago

Suz I remember you saying that in a previous post and ever since then I’ve been looking for those patterns. Not east to find!  Thanks for mentioning that.

Love it! Looks great with the white jeans and turquoise sandals. I also like the other options. Oh my goodness, I can't wait to see it with those teal boots!

You can wear this blouse with a black suit for winter and your teal boots.

KILLER blouse with the white support act and matching sandals!

Lana, you have GORGEOUS bright white hair! It really brings out your dark eyes.

  • Peri replied 1 year ago

That is perfection on you! I also love how you make those collages. I don't know how to do that!

Looks really great with the white, and your coloring. I wore my dress in this fabric out for drinks last night with a bright pink bag and shoe complement.

  • Lana replied 1 year ago

Peri, I just use Stylebook. i gradually added clothes as I wore them when I first started with it and now I have my whole wardrobe in there.

Lila, I really wanted the dress too, it’s so pretty!

thanks Angie, it’s starting to get a yellow cast due to all the swimming I’m doing so I started using a chlorine clarifying shampoo after my pool days.

Gorgeous on you. So tempting--like you, it's not my normal thing--not the print nor the color. I can see where it would be so useful in the right wardrobe.

Love that blouse; wonderful on you. It was sold out before my turn to shop this year and it is my 2022 NAS disappointment. Enjoy!
