White boots outfit

Hi, I’m back from my 3 month camping trip (will post about my travel capsule later) and survived the holidays. Hope you all had a good season!

I’ve been wanting some white boots and found these bone colored combat boots with a chunky heel. They see to go well with light grey, bone, probably white but they seem a little precious to me because of the color. In other words, I’m afraid of getting them dirty.

Please tell me your thoughts about these and white boots in general?

That’s a really good colour and should serve you well. I don’t know what material they are made of, but Vionic footwear tends to be very durable  Lots of fabbers on the forum are sporting lighter coloured boots  with great success these days, so I think you’ll likely be fine keeping them looking good.

Pretty and works perfectly with your hair!
Confession - I've ordered same boots in olive color ( because - sales lol ). White footwear requires special powers to keep it pristine - I'm lacking sadly.

I love them! They are such a great bookend for your hair. Are they waterproof?

I also purchased white boots. They are waterproof and a chalky white. They are working out great for me! I think it helps that the soles are black. But I have been hiking in them in seriously mucky conditions and was able to simply wipe them off when I got home. They are no more difficult to manage than white sneakers.

Good to see you back, Lana!

Dee, it may be just getting used to them. I’m wearing them around the house today till I’m sure.

Slimcat, I love the arch support and how light they are.

Thanks Suz! I love yours. I’m not sure if they are waterproof or not, I’ll have to check on that.

Suz the website says they have a water resistant upper yay!

That is fantastic. I honestly think you will be happy with them -- they will incorporate into outfits so well. For inspiration, you might look at some of Angie's photos of her Sam Edelman cream coloured combat boots that she got last year. She wore them a lot, I believe. It's true, she has a seemingly magic ability to stay pristine in all conditions, which I personally lack -- but she wasn't precious with them and they work for her.

With mine -- I have truly been pleasantly surprised.

Welcome back. I’m trying to wear swooshier pieces, things that are somewhat fitted but with movement, this winter, so am glad to see you back. (Because your style is an inspiration)

Love my white boots. When they get dirty, I clean them. They are smooth leather, not suede, so it isn’t hard to do. Before them, I had shoes with metallic touches. Maybe that’s a gateway drug?

Your hair makes yours a slam dunk for you, and that’s a solid outfit you’ve got on.

Were you offline for your whole trip? That’s impressive.

Very eager to hear about your trip! Your post inspired me to look into the idea of renting an RV for a road trip, but in the end I decided I didn't want to be responsible for the vehicle and all of its mechanicals. I applaud you and your skills.

I absolutely love my white Sorel boots and wear them all the time. They stay clean-ish. I just ordered two more pairs of white boots because I want a sleeker look than combat boots. I hope they work out; if they do I'll show them off to you.

Confession: it look me a long time to get on the light footwear bandwagon. But now I wonder how I got dressed without them. These are fab, I personally find this creamy white to be a little easier to wear than white white, but own them both.
I love how you’ve styled them here.
    And welcome back.

Great looking boots!I have always fancied some myself but wondered about the practicality of keeping them clean but l am sure that you could just wipe them over and they will be fine, enjoy!

They look great on you! I understand the reluctance though. I bought cream kitten heel boots from Zara and they’re in the car to possibly be returned. I just don’t think I’ll wear them enough to warrant keeping them. They’re not super high quality so I don’t feel bad about letting them pass me by.

I guess I have a different attitude toward stuff like this.  I remember the days when young men used to buy fresh new white tees every single day.  And the focus on box fresh white sneakers.  Doesn't all that imply that we never do anything but strike a pose in our clothing? The clothing should serve *us*.  There's a reason the ultra expensive Golden Goose sneakers are designed to look worn and and a bit dirty.

Welcome back, I love your new white boots. White and cream boots are essential to my style, I have 7 pairs, and I have found them to be very hard wearing. It is true that they get a little scuffed, but I use a colourless leather polish on my boots to remove marks and am not too precious about keeping the soles white.

Wow time flies- hope your trip went well! Love those boots on you!
I haven't attempted the white boots trend for myself, but I don't wear white in general. Too harsh with my coloring!

    KILLER

Great to see you again Lana, and the outfit could not be more perfect on you!

  • kellygirl replied 1 year ago

Ooh, this is fantastic and I love the boots. I feel similarly about my white leather sneakers but I figure that they're supposed to be worn. I've had success with the white eraser but honestly, once I start wearing them, I don't worry about them too much. I DO think about what is on my schedule that day and obviously won't wear them if I know I'm traipsing through a muddy worksite. YLF!

These are great-looking boots that have a rugged-yet-refined look. I see they are very highly rated on the Nordstrom site, too, with few sizes left. I’d love to try them on in the lighter color and see what the comfort level is like.

I love white boots, but I have a white winter puffer coat.  I espedially love Soral white snow boots with white faux fur.  I also have three pair of white booties.   They clean up easily using a paper towel after each wear

Perfect bookending for you. And the white colour of your boots + hair makes even casual outfits look glamorous.

  • lyn67 replied 1 year ago

White boots are a must for you, killer look with the hair!!:-)

  • Jenava replied 1 year ago

i love those, I wouldn't be worried about getting them dirty. They WILL get dirty, Shoes aren't meant to be kept pristine as we don't live as museum displays. But they are on your feet, and no one is going to be picky about a scuff or two.  I find that a magic eraser sponge clears a LOT of damage from footwear, FWIW, as well as rubberized rainwear.

How cool are you?! I love this look.

  • Dana replied 1 year ago

So cute!! White could be one of your signature colors...it's amazing with your hair.

I have those same boots in cream that Angie has. I think you need to be a little bit careful with them and you'll be fine. I find the hard part is keeping the white soles clean. I painstakingly cleaned mine and they had a mark on them before I got to my party. ‍♀️ I've decided no one will really look at the soles of my boots, lol!
