Theory Wool Blend trousers

Here are the Theory Ignera wool blend trousers from the Sale:  They run small so am very glad my size was not available and I had to size up!

The color is described as grey and burgundy but to me it is a grey background with chocolate brown in part of the plaid which I love because they will go great with my grey and brown snakeskin Chelsea boots. They will also look nice with burgundy and various pinks. The fabric is not heavy, crisp but not uncomfortable, and should hold its shape well.

I wore them today with sneakers, a teal tank and grey hoodie.

Nice! I was momentarily tempted by them but I know it is unlikely they’d fit me well (Theory pants tend to run narrow in the leg in my experience), and I really don’t need pants unless they are super casual and washable — jeans or chinos.

These look great on you, and will be brilliant with booties in fall!

Thanks Janet!  They pull very slightly across the front, but if I go larger I’d have to get the back waistband altered, so I don’t care, LOL.

So I just looked and it says spot clean.  I’ve never seen that how strange. If that means dry clean, they will have to go back unfortunately. I don’t do dry clean anymore unless it’s a winter coat.

These are very cute. I like them but I can't wrap my mind around plaid and pants yet, when we're still in summer. You did a nice job styling them, though!

It was strange to me too Lila, and I think a lighter background would be more summery.

Thank you for sharing it's always so helpful to see real photos - these look very cute on you!

I like the way you have styled these. I tend to get stuck in the casual-formal rut and not branch out. You do that very successfully. Spot clean sounds like not even dry clean? So you can't clean them at all? That could be a problem.

They look great on you! I will admit that "spot clean" was a concern when I first saw them. I'll dry clean winter coats and jackets, and skirts that I wear with tights, but anything that I wear directly next to my skin has to be washable.

I'm glad you tried them! So good to see them on you!  Nothing ventured, nothing gained :)

I'd have liked to see a size up too - to compare fits. And maybe the waistband would have been worth altering.

The palette is fab with your wardrobe! I matched it with burgundy in stores and that works well too.

These are definitely dry clean pants, Lana. I would not risk any other laundry method.

LOVE the look with the KILLER sneakers!

Cute pants and especially so with the sneakers. I think a size up would be better though ......?

Theory pants fit weird, in my experience, LOL. I really like these and if they were available in Canada, I'd have tried them. This palette will work great with the rest of your closet!

Thanks everyone! I still have the tag on so will send them back. I cannot do dry clean anymore with my lifestyle. Everything need to be washable and easy care. The search for light colored plaids continues.

These pants have such a high wool content I think they would surely shrink if laundered at home.  I have had bad luck with this and am very wary now.
