New Style Name and Words

I put together all the words you used and a few of my own to describe my style in the previous challenge post and here’s what I came up with — several words belonged together in distinct categories and I have never had a more clear vision of my style.

Glamorous: luxe, elegant, retro, Art Nouveau, sophisticated, silky
tough, edge, industrial, bold, urban, modern
:  relaxed, casual, soft
Creative: arty, artful, artist
Romantic: playful, alluring, soft, bohemian, fluid, flowy, feminine
Color story: monochromatic, neutral silver-blue, English garden colors: cool purples, lavender, blues, pinks
Light: icy, silver, white

Im sure I will still be refining this but so far this is what I have. . . Drumroll please . . .

My new style name is:
Gritty Glamour
Style Words: comfortable, subtle, tranquil, creative, romantic, luminous, versatile, juxtaposition, unexpected

I am so pleased with this change, and feel that Gritty Glamour covers so much more than my old style name Edgy Romantic ever did. With gritty I can have rocker chic, urban, modern, or even steam punk.

Thank you from the bottom of heart!

Congrats on the new YLF moniker - from a fellow alliterati (Mine is 'Comfy Covered Colourful Chic'). ;)

Currently in the process of sorting through which of the 53 style categories these 4C's fit into though (since they're mostly practical considerations rather than fashion ones).

Gritty Glamour! Kudos for hitting upon something that works so well!

Also, where did I get the idea you were in Michigan! LOL!  Time change and early morning grogginess hit hard I suppose!  I am truly sorry!

Love the moniker Gritty Glamour.  Sounds dead-right for you.  Similar to what I want to portray too.  I have always been a natural with a quirky and rocker edge.  I have been moving towards adding some elegance.  I think glamour is a better word for it.

Lana, this is inspired and perfectly captures the seemingly opposite elements of your style that give you such a distinctive style. I really see the glamour in all of your outfits.

  • merwoman replied 2 years ago

You are totally knocking it out of the park Ms Gritty Glamour! Love it!

  • Lana replied 2 years ago

Thank you all so much!  We will see if it sticks.
